She then pursued and received her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Mississippi College in 2003. Mrs. Lee has worked in the field of mental health for over 17 years.  She currently works as a Mental Health Therapist at Mississippi State Hospital.

Mrs. Lee has an extensive dance career which stems back to Brinkley Middle School Drill Team. She was also a four year member of the Lanier High School Rangerettes, serving as captain her senior year.  In addition, Mrs. Lee was a Prancing J-Sette at Jackson State University and also danced for the Jackson Rage Basketball Team.  From 2001-2006, she instructed the Jackson Jewels Dance Team. Currently, Mrs. Lee is the executive director of the Purple Diamonds Dance Team and the owner of Diamond Dance Company in Jackson, MS.

Mrs. Lee is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  She is also the proud wife of Leroy Lee. They have 3 sons, Samuel, Leroy II, and Johnathan.

Mrs. Lee founded The Purple Diamonds Dance Team  in February 2007. As she formulated her new team, she knew that she wanted a team that stood out from all others…a team that turned heads when they walked in the door…a team that would dance you off of the floor and look darn good doing it!!! However, she wanted to create more than just a dance team. She wanted to create a haven in which young ladies would be able to obtain sisterhood, mentorship, life skills, and where their self-esteem could be adequately built.  She also wanted her team to be active in the community and develop a sense of well-roundedness that would help its members matriculate throughout life.  11 years later, Mrs. Lee continues to fulfill her passion through her organization by providing a place that young ladies can flourish in the area of performing arts as well as socially and emotionally.
